One of the 4 craziest things I have done in life.

Life is about pushing boundaries, seeking out the unknown, and diving headfirst into adventures that test the very fabric of who we are. My travels have led me into some of the most intense, dangerous, and unbelievable situations. From bartering with cartel chiefs in Colombia to training with the French Foreign Legion, each experience has pushed my limits and taught me invaluable lessons. Here are the four craziest things I’ve ever done, ranging from surviving alone in the Colombian jungle to tracking tigers in Sumatra, immersing myself in tribal life in Guyana, and crossing paths with individuals from all walks of life in the heart of the Legion. Buckle up—this is going to be a wild ride!

Bartering and Abandonment: Surviving the Colombian Jungle

Among my many adventures, none was as perilous as my time in Colombia. In an effort to secure safe passage through cartel-controlled territories, I found myself in a situation that tested my survival skills and determination to their limits. This is the story of bartering with cartel chiefs and being abandoned in the unforgiving Colombian jungle.

My journey into Colombia began with the hope of exploring its untouched landscapes and unique culture. However, I quickly learned that navigating certain regions required more than just a sense of adventure. The territories controlled by cartels several different ones also Left wing right wing or downright evil which of course posed significant dangers, and securing safe passage became a matter of survival.

The negotiations with cartel chiefs were some of the tensest moments of my travels. I had to barter for safe passage, offering whatever I could to appease them. The atmosphere was charged with uncertainty and the constant threat of violence. Despite my best efforts, the negotiations didn't go as planned I ended paying a lot of money for permissions trusted guides. In a turn of events that still chills me, I found myself abandoned in the dense Darien jungle.

Alone and disoriented, I was left to fend for myself. The jungle was a labyrinth of thick vegetation, full with wildlife and potential dangers. The initial shock of my situation was quickly replaced by a determination to survive. I relied on my wits and basic survival skills, drawing from previous experiences and the training I had undergone in various parts of the world.

Navigating the jungle was a gruelling task. I had to find water, not the hardest thing to do in the jungle but I had avoid dangerous animals, and keep my bearings in an environment where every direction looked the same. The days were long and exhausting, filled with relentless trekking through thick foliage. The nights, however, offered a momentary reprieve under a canopy of stars. The sounds of the jungle became my nightly symphony, a mixture of both solace and alertness.  and the biggest storm I had witnessed in my life with lots of trees falling around me.

Throughout this ordeal, I encountered moments of sheer terror and profound beauty. The jungle, while dangerous, also revealed its hidden wonders. I saw exotic wildlife, stunning flora, and breathtaking landscapes that few get to witness. These moments of awe provided the mental fortitude needed to keep moving forward.

Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, I managed to find my way back to civilization. The relief was overwhelming, and the experience left an indelible mark on my spirit. It was a harrowing journey that tested every ounce of my strength and resolve.

My adventure in the Colombian jungle was the most challenging experience of my life. Bartering with cartel chiefs and surviving an abandonment taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, resourcefulness, and the will to survive. It was an ordeal that pushed my limits but also revealed the depths of my endurance.
